Climate Muhafiz
Youth- and women-led climate action, from tree planting to Climate Kachehris and COP31.

What Climate Muhafiz is about
Muhafiz means “guardian”. Climate Muhafiz shifts the focus from post-disaster relief to prevention: restoring the environment, building climate literacy and preparing families before the monsoon arrives in some of Pakistan’s most climate-vulnerable districts.
What we do
- Female-led afforestation: 1,800+ trees from Larkana to Karachi, targeting waterlogged land, school boundaries and fragile embankments
- Climate Kachehris: Sindhi-language community dialogues in the riverine Katcha belts of Shikarpur and Ghotki
- Classroom climate literacy that helps whole households prepare rations, livestock and shelter
- Loss & Damage advocacy: taking frontline rural voices to UNFCCC COP31 through the Youth@COP programme

What came next: Climate Muhafiz is the preventive shield alongside our humanitarian and livelihood work, and links to our school and wellbeing initiatives.
